Note: # - Point ranking is based on average week, although the chart indicates total points scored.

Rating is based on past seasons' performances. All new teams start at 2 stars. Each season, each school as the ability to earn up to 2 stars and lose up to 2 stars. Ratings are indicated next to each team name in the chart above.

A team earns power points based on the toughness of their schedule:
With each victory earned: Take the number of stars the opponent has and multiply by 3
With a tie: Take the number of stars the opponent has and multiply by 2
With a loss: Take the number of stars the oppnent has

Scheduling is key here. Winning games against weaker opponents will boost their record, but lower their power points- and vice versa.

For the BCS, each category is ranked 1-15. The lower the number the better. For the total BCS score, the rankings will be added up.

If a team is tied in the BCS standings the following criteria will be utilized:
1. If one team leads another team in 3 or more of the above categories, then the former team earns the tie breaker.
2. If #1 does not break the tie, then we will use the individual categories as tie breakers (in order) a. Record b. Power points c. Points scored d. Polling
3. If we remain tied, then the league will vote on the tie-breaker.

Note: If the winner of a conference is selected to play in the championship game, they will of course play in the championship game. The team that finishes second in the conference, if their overall record is .500 or better will represent the conference in one of the other bowls. If the second place team is below .500, the slot will go to an At-Large team. If 2 teams from the same conference go to the championship game, then the conference's slot will go to an At-Large team. If a second place team from a conference with 5 or more members is selected to represent the conference, the allocated second bowl spot for that conference is forfeited to an At-Large team.

At Large teams are based on overall BCS rankings.
