 University Traditions: *Oozeball- The annual volleyball game in the mud! *Fanatical Fans- Fanatical Fans is a group of overzealous sports fans that compete to be URI's biggest fan. If you are picked, you get to sit up close and personal at all the basketball games among fellow fanatical fans. Students paint their bodies, make signs, use party favors, and do whatever they can to pump up the crowd and give support to the Rams. *Freek Week- It is an annual event that invites new and interested students into joining a fraternity or sorority. The whole Greek system goes out and tries to recruit new members by inviting them to different social events and meetings. *Fight Song- Rhode Island Born We're Rhode Island born And we're Rhode Island bred And when we die We'll be Rhode Island dead So go go Rhode Island, Island go go Rhode Island, Island GO RHODE ISLAND! My favorite memory of college football: It's gotta be in 1982 when Cal beat Stanford when they ran over the Stanford band as they scored the game winning TD.
