2. Your score for each hole is determined by your scorecard. The scorecard is based on how much money you win for that hole. Money is determined by adding all the golfers' (you picked for that weekend) winnings for that particular hole. Money will be rounded to the nearest thousand.
3. For each event, each participant has to pick up to 5 golfers. There is a salary cap of 26K for each event. A golfer's salary is determined by his world ranking. The salaries will be modified at least twice during the course of the season.
3a. Each participant is required to "sit out" 3 holes/events during the course of the year. If a player fails to submit picks they will be assumed to be "sitting out". If a player has reached 3 "sit-outs" and fails to make picks afterwards, they will recieve $0 and the worse possible score for that event. This rule was designed to add variety to the lineup and give flexibility to players who go on vacation or accidently miss a week.
4. You score Fed-Ex points based on all your golfers' winnings. The participant with the most dollars is considered the winner. Then Fed-Ex points will be assigned to each player based on their placing. We use the exact formula that the PGA uses to determine Fed-Ex points.
5. In the event of a tie of dollars between participants. First tie breaker will go to the participant with a lower salary cap used to purchase the lineup. If that is a tie, then the tie remains.
6. Fed-Ex points are then added to the cumulative leaderboard.
7. The top 10 qualify for the playoff season. Everyone's Fed-Ex points are redetermined based on the same system the PGA playoff system uses. After each week of the playoff round, the bottom 2 players are cut. In the fourth and last playoff round, the field is down to the Top 4.
