Introduction

Total Sports started in 1999 as the Picks Football League (PFL). As time went by, the Commissioner slowly added more sports to the circuit. Then there were so many leagues that the league could not be just known as PFL anymore. The name Total Sports came into existence in 2006.

Prior to 2005, Total Sports was a free league open to all interested. Due to the confederation's popularity, the site had to move from a free server to a premium one. Costs to the players have been kept at a minimum. All the money goes to offset the cost the Commissioner pays the server- Geocities. The Commissioner does not get one cent of profit from running Total Sports.

League Overview

Total Sports is divided into two parts. The first part is for premium members only. Picks Football League (PFL), Major League Picks (MLP), and Campus Kickoff Saturday (CKS) fall into this realm. Non-premium members are not allowed to partake in these leagues. The Commissioner dedicates the majority of his time and effort to keeping these leagues fun and challenging.

The remaining leagues are part of the non-premium section. Anyone may participate in these leagues. However, if slots are limited, priority will go to premium members first.

How to Become a Premium Member

In order to play in the premium leagues you need to qualify first. A player must be voted in by the PFL/MLP Senators after playing at least one season in PFL2. In Total Sports, we like to have reliable, dedicated, and good players. Therefore, we instituted this "voting in" process in 2003. There is the rare possibility for the Commissioner to exempt a player, with Senate's approval, and allow them to become a premium member right away. This may apply to family members of Senators.

Cost for Membership

For the 2007 year, a player can register for $4.50 a season, $7.25 for a two season block, or $10.00 for a three year block. The costs are subject to change after the completion of a year. However, if a player pays ahead of time and the cost changes, that player will not be subjected to the increase.

If a player quits the league voluntarily at any time, there is no refund of registration, even if the player has paid for future seasons. If the Bureau removes the player, other than for forfeitures, the player is entitled to his/her refund.

If using paypal, please add 75 cents to the above costs to offset the double fees that paypal uses.
